Committee

York IA is run by a number of volunteers who give up their own time to look after the interests of our members and provide help and support to anybody in our region who has had or is about to have surgery to remove their colon resulting in the formation of an ileostomy or an internal pouch.

A number of our committee members have also taken and passed the IA Trained Visitor's Course and regularly offer help and advice to new patients, either face to face or via the telephone or other means (e.g. e-mail). If you are interested in becoming more involved with the running of your local group, please contact a member of the committee.

Young IA Coordinator Vacancy

Our Young IA Coordinator has recently moved away from the area and as a result we are looking for somebody to take over that role. If you are interested in getting more involved, particularly with our younger members and want to know more about what is involved then please contact a member of the committee.
