Visiting

One of our most important services is the visiting service as it allows patients to meet and talk, in complete confidence with others who have experienced something similar. As far as possible visitors are matched as closely as possible in terms of age, gender, type of surgery and lifestyle.

York IA has been providing visits both pre and post surgery since its inception. Working closely with the stoma care nurses helps us together to provide the professional and experiential support that the person with a newly formed stoma or internal pouch needs.
