Q. Who runs York IA?

A. York IA is run by a number of volunteers, all of whom have had surgery to remove their colons resulting in the formation of an ileostomy or an internal pouch.

Q. How much does membership cost?

A. Subscriptions for membership are reviewed annually and currently cost £12.00 per annum for those under 60 and £8.00 per annum for the over 60s.

Q. What activities is the group involved in?

A. We hold meetings throughout the year, with speakers, displays from manufacturers, as well as fund raising events and social get togethers. We also have a number of trained visitors, who can provide home, hospital or telephone visits to anybody who requests one.

What if I need to speak to somebody in confidence?

A. You can talk to a committee member at one of our meetings or contact Jennifer Black our Visiting Coordinator.
